As we prepare for marriage, we invite you to join us in celebrating our engagement. With Ally's grandma in mind, we are choosing to gather one year ahead of our very small, intimate destination wedding. We would be honored to celebrate with you.

What to Wear

Relaxed cocktail

Think summer-party polish without the fuss. It's an August evening in the country — light fabrics, easy layers, and shoes that can handle grass. Comfortable beats formal every time.

Perfect for the evening

  • Linen button-downs, polos, or camp collars
  • Shorts or lightweight trousers
  • Sundresses, jumpsuits, or skirts
  • Boat shoes, loafers, sandals, or flats

Feel free to skip

  • Suits and ties
  • Heels that sink into grass
  • Anything you can't dance in
For calibration

Camden will be in shorts, a linen button-down, and boat shoes. Consider that the bar.

Our Story

How we got here

Knowing of each other counts as a start, but getting to know each other started in 2021 kicking off a long distance relationship from Bowling Green to Minneapolis thanks to our dear friends at Delta Airlines.

    The proposal

    You're joking!
Lex asked on the beach in Key West at 7:15am. There is no proof, but that is when it happened. On one knee he asked and Ally responded with "This isn't real, You're joking, Obviously, Yes!"
Where you're headed

Southern Indiana

Tucked into the rolling hills of Spencer County, Fulda sits about ninety minutes west of Louisville and an hour east of Evansville. The land here is gentle — old farms, quiet roads, Amish neighbors just over in Dubois County, and the Lincoln Boyhood Home a short drive south. Plan to come a little early or stay a little late; there's more to see than you'd think.

Getting Here

Travel

If you're flying, we recommend Louisville (SDF) — then rent a car and drive from the airport, about an hour and forty-five minutes of easy interstate with a short country-road finish.

By Air

  • SDFLouisville Muhammad Ali International — recommended
    ~1 hr 45 min drive
Parking is on the grass at the venue — there's plenty of room. Wear shoes you don't mind walking on grass in.

FAQ

When should I RSVP by?+

Please reply by July 11 — right here on the site. Head to the RSVP page, type your name, and it'll find you.

Can I bring my kids?+

Yes — kids are welcome! There's plenty of grass to run on.

Can I bring a date?+

The RSVP form shows exactly how many seats your invitation includes — if there's a plus-one slot, it's yours to fill.

What should I wear?+

Relaxed cocktail — see What to Wear above. The honest version: it's August in Indiana, it will be warm and humid, and you'll be on grass. Dress for comfort.

Is it indoors or outdoors?+

Outdoors, on the farm — with a tent for shade and weather. Flat grass, evening light, dancing under the lights.

What if it rains?+

We've got a tent — the party happens rain or shine.

Where should I stay?+

Santa Claus or Tell City — both about 25 minutes away. See the Travel section for our picks.

Where do I park?+

On the grass at the venue — there's plenty of room. Try to arrive before dusk; the last few miles are country roads.

Can we take photos?+

Please do! Tag #ClubSelig so we see them.

Should we bring a gift?+

Your presence is the gift. If you insist, the Registry page has a honeymoon fund.
